Uzma bags RM101.8m EPCC job for LSS plant in Bestari Jaya, Selangor
KUALA LUMPUR (May 9): Oil and gas service contractor Uzma Bhd has bagged an engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) provision contract worth RM101.8 million for the development of a 29.99MWac large scale solar (LSS) photovoltaic plant project in Bestari Jaya, Selangor.
In a bourse filing, Uzma said its related company Uzma Nexus Sdn Bhd (UNSB) secured the contract from Nextenaga Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nexuscorpgroup Sdn Bhd, via a letter of award dated April 28 for the project.
On accepting the award, Uzma said UNSB has appointed Suria Infiniti Sdn Bhd, another Uzma-related company, to undertake the project’s works.
The job involves the EPCC of 29.99MWac and all associated works, including site preparation with civil and structural, architectural, direct current (DC) solar system, solar mounting structures, security system, control building and securing all authorities’ requirements and compliance.
“UNSB shall complete and hand over the works to Nextenaga by Dec 31, 2022 for initial operation date (IOD) and commercial operation date (COD) by March 9, 2023,” said Uzma.
Uzma’s share price finished 4.04% or two sen lower at 47.5 sen on Monday, giving it a market capitalisation of RM165.54 million.
